Think of how many things you type over and over on a regular basis and the number of seconds it takes to write each phrase - text expansion allows me to type a few letters instead of that whole string of characters. It could be your name, your address, or a full paragraph that you’ve saved. When you’re using a text expansion app, it monitors your typing, and whenever you type a specific sequence of letters, it will replace those letters with a predefined piece of text. Text expansion is a bit like auto-complete on a cell phone/Google - it allows you to enter a long string of text with a shorter string. If you work as a legal/medical transcriptionist, eBay reseller, customer relations manager, data entry clerk, programmer, or web designer - a simple text expander program can help you save many hours a week by creating text typing shortcuts to fill in common phrases or code strings in your workflow. Colorize is a complex tool that is really easy to use! PhotoPad does most of the work for you, making you look like a master of restoration. Repeat the process for each different section/color - it is suggested that you add a new colorize layer for each color you use to make editing and redoing significantly easier. You may also decrease the opacity to make the detail work more subtle, and paint over previously painted spots to blend the color. For detailed sections, you can zoom into the photo with a small brush to color in difficult-to-reach spots. The color will seem much darker initially but will fade in softly and naturally once you have finished that section. Click and drag over the photo in the areas you want in that color.Pick the appropriate brush size with the brush slider (bigger - quick wide coverage, smaller - detail work).Once you have decided what to color first (background, subject, etc), click the Select Color button and either pick the color with the slider or enter in a hex/RGB value.Once you have the black and white photo open, go to the Tools tab and pick Colorize.Use a scanner to import the photo into PhotoPad.
